| Obtaining a job on campus at the University of Rhode Island allowed me to stay in contact with the campus, it's students and the idea of campus-life in general. Working for Recreational Services in two departments; one as an entry level job at the front desk and another as a supervisor of the Intramural Sports Program, allowed me to make more professional contacts as well as friends while gaining different experiences in how to deal with a variety of situations. Being a supervisor, we oversaw all games and trainings as wel as assisted with the interviewing and hiring of new staff. Even though we were a small group, we had a lot of responsibilities and had to work together as a team to get the job done. At the end of the day, I can honestly say that this program has made an impact on my life. I have been blessed to work with such an amazing group of individuals to help make our school a better place. |
