A few times a year we participated in student workshops and trainings where we would talk about our departments, share similarities and discuss differences, learned to work as a team, and bonded with each department. Each leadership training was different in the activities we participated in and every time was both beneficial and an experience in itself. By having these jobs, I was able to feel like I was contributing to our school. We often had "All Recreation Services" workshops in which we spent the day, about 120 or more of us, at the gym doing many team-building exercises, going over procedures, talking about problems and issue and how to resolve them, and much more. Being a supervisor, we were often asked to run many of these workshops and help out. We held trainings on weekends where multiple schools from New England would come with their referees and come for trainings and meetings, almost like a conference. This is also something the supervisors were in charge of and helped out with because we often had almost 200 students and program directors from other schools participating, which would include our referee and our program director.

It is always the most important to follow procedures, in all circumstances, and always back up one another. There is nothing better than a cohesive and constructive work environment, and I can honestly say that the Intramural Sports Program has taught me more than I could have ever thought.
